The VP Education Trey Decker announces that the LPGA Fall Workshop will be held at Inglewood Pecans in Alexandria, LA on November 9, 2019.
Schedule of Events:
9:30 – 10:00am Coffee and Registration
10:00 – 11:00am Grading Your Pecans
11:00 – 12:00pm Shelling Demonstration
12:00 – 1:00pm Sandwich Lunch
1:00pm – until Board Meeting
Attendees are encouraged to bring a sample of their own pecans for hands-on practice at grading.
Grading is essential in the buying and selling of pecans, so that buyers and sellers can negotiate prices in a fair manner. Because of sampling error, and because part of the grading process is somewhat subjective, there will not usually be an exact duplication of numbers when two different people sample a load. But it is important to strive for consistency and honesty. Falsely representing the quality of a load is a good way to develop a bad reputation in the industry.
Pre-registration is not necessary, but we would sure like to know if you are coming. Please send an email to email@example.com or call Stephen at 318-729-3173.
All are welcome, members and non-members alike!
