Caramel and Pecan Loaded Apples

Blogger Shakira Patterson serves up a vegetarian treat just in time for the holiday season: Apple Pecan Nachos with a sweet caramel drizzle.

Ingredients

3/4 cup pecan pieces

6 Granny Smith Apples

1/4 cup caramel sauce or dip

1/4 cup chocolate chips

Process:

    1. Wash, core and slice your apples thinly to resemble chips. Spread on a platter.
    2. Use a spoon to drizzle warmed caramel sauce over apple “chips.”
    3. Generously spread pecan pieces over apple chips and caramel sauce.
    4. Top nachos with a sprinkle of chocolate chips.
    5. Enjoy!
